Dive in Turks & Caicos; Better than Diving the Northerly Bahamas!
Less
than 39 miles south of the Bahamas lay the island chain of Turks
and Caicos. Although close geographically, there is a world of difference
between these two island chains- both below the water and above!
Why dive Bahamas when you can dive Turks & Caicos?
The surrounding
waters of Turks & Caicos far exceed the best scuba diving in
the Bahamas. The seas surrounding Turks & Caicos (84 to 85 degrees)
are typically 5 degrees warmer than most waters in the Bahamas,
and our typical visibility of over 100 feet is better than the waters
of the Bahamas. When scuba diving in the Bahamas and you are diving
true Atlantic Ocean waters, whereas Turks & Caicos waters more
closely emulate the warm waters of the Caribbean.
Many
people dive Bahamas for shark diving. Although there is one famous
dive operator who has virtually domesticated some of his indigenous
reef shark, our Turks and Caicos dive sites exemplify true shark
diving. We see Caribbean reef shark on approximately 80% of our
dives (there are no guarantees in nature, but read our testimonials
for validation). The best of all, our encounters with shark exploit
their natural habitat... not a domesticated feed program! Read our
Bahamas shark diving page for more details on true Turks
and Caicos Shark Diving.
Dive in the
Bahamas and take your chances on accommodations and island amenities.
Dive Turks & Caicos and you will stay at one of the world's
top ten beaches (Conde Nast Traveler) with all of its first class
accommodations. Our island, Providenciales does not have the rift-raff
of many of the bigger Bahamas islands, while countering some of
their top notch resorts, restaurants, water sports, golf, fishing,
and shopping. In addition, all of these attributes will be missed
on some of the smaller outer islands of the Bahamas. It is the best
of both worlds for your Bahamas dive vacation- Dive Turks and Caicos!
